Guided Meditation is when a counselor helps a client visualize a peaceful scene like a forest or a beach for the purpose of relaxation and relieving stress. Guided meditation is beneficial for people who are experiencing stress, anxiety, anger and similar emotions.
I can demonstrate guided meditation or teach a person how to use this technique on their own. This is a short-term counseling method that can be extremely beneficial for reducing stress and managing emotions.
Guided Meditation can be demonstrated in individual counseling or group counseling. I don’t have any Guided Meditation groups at this time but may organize one in the future.
Using Insurance for Individual Guided Meditation
Insurance doesn’t cover Individual Guided Meditation on its own. But it can be a part of a treatment plan for mental health counseling. I’m willing to help you get Guided Meditation covered by insurance if it is ethically possible.
Call Anna at (724) 812-9895 and ask for a free phone consultation. During this call, I can explain if your insurance will cover Guided Meditation and under what circumstances.
I accept the following insurances:
- Highmark (BCBS, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Independence)
- PA Medicaid (Beacon Health, Value Behavioral Health, Gateway, UPMC for You, UnitedHealthCare)
- Tricare (Military Insurance)
- The Health Plan (West Virginia)
