I take insurance as payment for counseling. If you have concerns about your co-pay, co-insurance or deductible, talk to me before your first appointment. I can find out how much counseling will cost with your insurance.
Disclaimer
Health insurance has become extremely complicated the last few years. Different insurance companies offer different products. You used to be able to tell people, “I can take (Blank) insurance.” But the industry has changed. Sometimes a provider can take one policy from an insurance company but not take another.
While I am credentialed with the insurances listed on this page, this does not guarantee you won’t have to pay anything. Contact me if you have any questions. I can look up your insurance and give you more information.
Insurances Accepted
- Aetna
- Cigna
- Highmark (BCBS, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Independence)
- Optum
- PA Medicaid (Beacon Health, Value Behavioral Health, Gateway, UPMC for You, UnitedHealthCare)
- Tricare (Military Insurance)
- The Health Plan (West Virginia)
- Compsych EAP
- Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (Judges Concerned for Judges)
One insurance that I cannot take is UPMC Health Plan. I can only take UPMC for You, which is PA Medicaid. Another insurance that I cannot take is Medicare. Only Licensed Clinical Social Workers can take Medicare.
If you have an insurance that isn’t on my list of covered insurances, I am willing to work with your insurance company if they are accepting providers. I could always call your insurance to find out if they would be willing to cover me. Some insurances are willing to do a single case agreement, which means they would work with me for a time period set in the agreement.
